A home cook's shortcut to perfect tangy, creamy comfort food. This easy dip comes together with just five simple ingredients for a crowd-pleasing snack that disappears fast. It's ideal for game day, movie nights, or last-minute guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (such as from a 12.5 oz can, drained)
  • 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack blend)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in the shredded chicken and 3/4 cup of the shredded cheese until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 8x8 baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is lightly browned.
  6. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set for perfect dipping.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is fully softened. Letting the dip rest after baking is key for the right consistency. For a lighter version, use Neufchâtel cheese and light ranch dressing.
