Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1-2 tsp pure maple syrup or honey
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a jar or container with a lid, combine the rolled oats, poppy seeds, and chia seeds (if using).
  2. Add the Greek yogurt, milk, lemon juice, maple syrup, and salt.
  3. Zest the lemon directly into the jar.
  4. Stir all ingredients together until fully combined and no dry pockets remain.
  5. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.
  6. Before eating, stir well. Serve cold with desired toppings.

Notes

For best texture, use old-fashioned rolled oats, not quick oats. The lemon zest is essential for maximum flavor. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a dairy-free version, use plant-based yogurt and milk.
