A vibrant and healthy snack perfect for parties. These skewers feature fresh, colorful fruits arranged in rainbow order for a fun and festive treat. They are simple to assemble and can be customized with seasonal produce.

  • 12 strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup cantaloupe chunks
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 12 wooden skewers (6-inch), soaked in water

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly. Pat the strawberries and grapes dry with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the cantaloupe and pineapple into 1-inch chunks if not pre-cut.
  3. Organize the fruit by color in separate bowls: red (strawberries), orange (cantaloupe), yellow (pineapple), green (grapes), and blue/purple (blueberries).
  4. Thread one skewer starting with a strawberry, then a cantaloupe chunk, a pineapple chunk, a green grape, and finally a blueberry. Leave a small space between each piece.
  5. Repeat with the remaining skewers and fruit.
  6. Arrange the completed skewers on a serving platter. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Notes

For best results, assemble skewers close to serving time. Soak wooden skewers for 10-15 minutes to prevent splintering. Feel free to substitute fruits based on seasonality and preference.
