Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large wooden board or slate tray
  • 3-4 small bowls or ramekins
  • 1 wedge brie or other soft cheese
  • 1 bar dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1 box Ferrero Rocher or similar chocolates
  • 1 bag gold-wrapped Hershey's Kisses
  • 1 bunch red grapes
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup dried figs or apricots
  • 1 cup candied pecans or spiced almonds
  • 1 cup caramel or cheese popcorn
  • 1 dozen assorted cookies (shortbread, pirouettes)
  • 1 batch Mini Ranch Cheese Balls (or store-bought)
  • 1 cup Crack Sausage Balls (or store-bought meatballs)
  • 1 cup Hot Honey Cream Cheese Dip (or fruit dip of choice)
  • Edible gold sprinkles or glitter for garnish

Instructions

  1. Select your board and place it on a stable surface. Arrange 3-4 small bowls on the board to create anchors and height.
  2. Fill one bowl with Hot Honey Cream Cheese Dip. Fill another with popcorn. Place the third bowl for loose candies or nuts if desired.
  3. Place the wedge of cheese and the broken dark chocolate bar on opposite sides of the board as primary anchors.
  4. Arrange bunches of grapes and clusters of strawberries to spill over edges and fill empty spaces.
  5. Group similar items together. Create a section for chocolates (Ferrero Rocher, Hershey's Kisses), a section for cookies, and a section for fresh berries.
  6. Fill in gaps with the savory elements: place Mini Ranch Cheese Balls and Crack Sausage Balls in small piles near the center.
  7. Scatter candied nuts and dried fruit throughout the board to add texture and color.
  8. For a final festive touch, lightly sprinkle edible gold glitter over the cheese, dip, or frosted cookies.
  9. Add serving utensils like small cheese knives, spoons for dips, and cocktail picks for easy grabbing. Serve immediately.

Notes

This board is highly customizable. Use store-bought items to save time. For a last-minute board, focus on clustering 5-6 items you have on hand. Keep savory and sweet items somewhat grouped but allow them to mingle for visual interest. Prepare dips and cooked items like sausage balls ahead of time and assemble just before guests arrive.
