This Mango Jalapeño Lemonade is a refreshing summer drink with sweet mango, bright lemon, and a gentle jalapeño heat. It pairs perfectly with spicy tacos or grilled dishes and is easy to customize to your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 6-8 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the diced mango in a blender with 1 cup of water. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sliced jalapeño with 1 cup of water. Bring to a gentle simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Strain out the jalapeño slices, reserving the infused water.
  3. In a large pitcher, whisk together the mango puree, jalapeño-infused water, fresh lemon juice, and honey. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and stir until the honey dissolves completely. Taste and adjust sweetness or heat to your preference.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over top. Garnish with fresh mint and a thin lemon wheel.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap honey for stevia or monk fruit sweetener. To make it bubbly, use sparkling water instead of still water. The jalapeño heat is adjustable; start with half a pepper and add more if desired. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
