A fun, interactive snack perfect for kids and parties. These vibrant kabobs feature a variety of fresh green fruits and are a healthy, no-cook treat. They are ideal for St. Patrick's Day or any festive gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup honeydew melon, cut into chunks or balls
  • 1 green apple, cored and cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice mixed with 1 cup water (for apple soak)
  • 1/2 English cucumber, sliced into thick rounds
  • 8 wooden or bamboo skewers (6-inch size)

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly.
  2. Prepare the fruit: Peel and slice kiwis. Cut honeydew into 1-inch chunks or use a melon baller. Core and cut the apple into chunks, then soak them in the lemon water for 5 minutes to prevent browning. Slice the cucumber into thick rounds.
  3. Thread the skewers in a pattern of your choice, such as grape, kiwi, honeydew, cucumber, apple. Pack pieces snugly but do not overcrowd.
  4. Arrange the finished kabobs on a platter. Serve immediately or within an hour for best freshness.

Notes

For a kid-friendly version, snip the sharp points off the skewers with kitchen shears. If making ahead, prep and store cut fruit separately, then assemble just before serving to prevent apples from browning.
