Simple, elegant treats perfect for Valentine's Day. Fresh fruit dipped in a glossy dark chocolate shell, customized with fun toppings. A quick, no-bake dessert that feels indulgent but is naturally sweetened.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz high-quality dark chocolate (60-70% cacao), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon refined coconut oil
  • Assorted fresh fruit: strawberries, banana slices, orange segments, apple slices, etc.
  • Toppings: flaky sea salt, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, freeze-dried berry powder, sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Wash fruit and pat completely dry with paper towels. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Create a double boiler: place a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (bowl should not touch water).
  3. Add chopped chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl. Stir constantly until melted, smooth, and glossy. Remove from heat.
  4. Holding fruit by stem or with a fork, dip into chocolate. Let excess drip off.
  5. Immediately sprinkle with desired toppings over a separate plate. Place on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Repeat with remaining fruit. For a drizzle effect, flick reserved chocolate over finished pieces with a fork.
  7. Refrigerate tray for 20 minutes, or until chocolate is firm and snappy. Serve immediately or store.

Notes

Ensure fruit is completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing. Use refined coconut oil for a neutral taste. For dairy-free, check chocolate label. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
