This refreshing cucumber mint infused detox water transforms plain water into a crisp, cooling drink perfect for hot summer days. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a healthy, flavorful beverage that helps you stay hydrated without any sugar or artificial flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large English cucumber, thinly sliced or spiralized
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, gently bruised
  • 8 cups filtered water
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional, but highly recommended)
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumber thoroughly. Slice it into long, thin ribbons using a mandoline or vegetable peeler, or use a spiralizer for long strands.
  2. Gently clap the mint leaves between your palms or lightly muddle them with a wooden spoon to release the essential oils without breaking the leaves.
  3. Place the cucumber slices and mint leaves in a large pitcher. Pour the filtered water over them. Add the lemon juice if using. Stir gently.
  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the infused water over the ice. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig or cucumber ribbon if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use an English cucumber as it has fewer seeds and thinner skin. If using regular cucumbers, peel them first to avoid bitterness. Remove the cucumber and mint after 12 hours to prevent bitterness. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Do not freeze.
