These light and creamy frozen bites are a perfect healthier Valentine's treat. A simple strawberry Greek yogurt filling is dipped in a snappy chocolate shell for a dessert that feels indulgent but is made with wholesome ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • Optional toppings: freeze-dried strawberry pieces, crushed nuts, flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the yogurt filling: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, diced strawberries, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Taste and adjust sweetness. Freeze for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  2. Scoop and freeze: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop teaspoon-sized mounds of the chilled yogurt mixture onto the sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes, until solid.
  3. Melt the chocolate: Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  4. Coat the bites: Using a fork, dip each frozen yogurt bite into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place back on parchment. Add optional toppings immediately.
  5. Set and serve: Let chocolate harden at room temperature (10-15 min) or in freezer for 5 min. Enjoy frozen. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

For dairy-free, use thick coconut yogurt. Ensure yogurt bites are completely frozen before dipping to prevent melting. Chocolate can seize if overheated; melt gently.
