Thin apple slices are tossed with cinnamon and air fried until crispy, creating a healthy, sweet snack. This simple recipe transforms everyday apples into a crunchy treat in under 30 minutes. It's a perfect guilt-free snack for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2-3 medium apples (Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 teaspoons granulated sugar or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg, cardamom, or pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice them uniformly to about 1/8-inch thick, removing any seeds. Peeling is optional.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon, optional sugar or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C) if required by your model.
  4. Arrange apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Work in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 6-8 minutes, then open the basket and carefully flip the slices.
  6. Continue air frying for another 6-10 minutes, checking frequently, until edges are golden brown and curl up, and centers look dry.
  7. Transfer chips to a wire rack or plate in a single layer and let cool completely to crisp up.

Notes

For best results, slice apples as thinly and evenly as possible. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Chips crisp up fully as they cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. Re-crisp in air fryer for 1-2 minutes if needed.
