Description

This spooky-sweet Vampire Bite Trail Mix is a hauntingly fun Halloween snack that combines salty pretzels, rich chocolate, chewy cranberries, and festive sprinkles. A quick, crowd-pleasing treat perfect for parties, movie nights, or trick-or-treat snacks!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups plain popcorn (freshly popped, not buttered)
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup candy corn
  • ½ cup red M&Ms
  • ¼ cup melted white chocolate (for drizzling)
  • 23 drops red food coloring (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and let it cool completely. Place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add pretzel sticks, dried cranberries, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, candy corn, and red M&Ms to the bowl. Gently toss to combine.
  3. Melt the ¼ cup of white chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Stir between each until smooth. Add red food coloring for a blood-like effect and swirl (don’t fully mix).
  4. Drizzle the red-streaked white chocolate over the trail mix. Quickly sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles so they stick before the chocolate sets.
  5. Let the mix cool and the drizzle set (about 5 minutes). Break up any large clumps and serve or store.

Notes

Make up to 24 hours in advance and store in an airtight container to keep popcorn fresh. Customize with raisins, yogurt chips, or candy vampire teeth!
