Description

A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner with sweet honey and spicy sriracha sauce, ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Sauce:
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • For the Chicken and Broccoli:
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground chicken and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add Broccoli and Sauce: Add the broccoli florets to the skillet with the chicken. Pour the prepared honey sriracha sauce over everything and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Simmer to Perfection: Reduce heat to medium, cover the skillet, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat. Stir in half of the sliced green onions. Transfer to serving bowls and garnish with remaining green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra tender broccoli, blanch florets in boiling water for 1-2 minutes before adding to skillet. Adjust sriracha amount to control spice level.
