Description

These Family-Friendly Italian Grinder Sliders pack all the savory goodness of an Italian sub into perfectly melty, crispy, bite-sized sliders. Ideal for game days, parties, or busy weeknights, they’re quick to assemble and loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12-count) slider buns or Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • ¼ pound thinly sliced ham
  • ¼ pound thinly sliced salami
  • ¼ pound thinly sliced pepperoni
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • ¼ cup sliced pepperoncini (optional)
  • ¼ cup mayo mixed with 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Garlic Butter Topping:
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice the entire slab of slider buns horizontally and place the bottom half in a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Spread the mayo mixture across the bottom buns. Layer half the provolone, then ham, salami, pepperoni, red peppers, and pepperoncini. Top with mozzarella and remaining provolone.
  3. Place the top buns back on. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan. Brush generously over the tops.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5 more minutes until golden brown. Serve warm!

Notes

To make ahead, assemble fully (without butter topping) and refrigerate. Add topping before baking. These sliders freeze well too — wrap tightly before freezing, then thaw in the fridge overnight before baking as directed.
