Description

There’s something deeply satisfying about a handheld meal that hits all the right notes—crispy, creamy, savory, and fresh, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla. This homemade Crispy Chicken Ranch Snack Wrap delivers everything you love about the fast-food classic with the satisfaction of creating it yourself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or tenders, cut into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup vegetable or avocado oil, for frying
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito-size)
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken strips dry with paper towels. In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour (mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper), beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Dredge each chicken strip first in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten egg, then press firmly into the panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  3. Cook to Crispy Perfection: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken strips for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Warm the tortillas slightly in a dry skillet or microwave for 10-15 seconds. Spread about 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing down the center of each tortilla. Place 2-3 crispy chicken strips on top of the dressing. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and shredded cheese.
  5. Wrap It Up: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap.

Notes

Smart Substitutions: For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs with corn tortillas. Swap ranch for a lighter yogurt-based dressing or spicy chipotle ranch. Use air-fried chicken strips to cut down on oil. Prefer a different cheese? Monterey Jack or pepper jack work wonderfully.
